To what extent has Ajinomoto been involved in current efforts to regulate the food labelling?

Respecting the consumers’ right to have appropriate information, Ajinomoto has advised the European Commission and EU Member States on 8 June 2009 that the end product produced from quality meat/fish parts could be labelled as “Combined Meat Parts” or “Combined Fish Parts”. This advice was appreciated by consumer representatives and taken on board by the European Commission. These types of labelling will prevent the misleading of consumers.
